I've been studying politics for a couple years now, ran a few political associations and blogs, stumbled on this site while searching Google for a quality political debate forum, and I must say this is quite impressive, kudos to the creators of DebatePolitcs.
I'm a proud antiwar Libertarian, strong fiscal conservative, and a vigilant disbeliever in the policy of fear tactics that is so vehemently employed these days. Global warming isn't going to cause the apocalypse (read crichton my environmentalist friends), avian flu will never be an epidemic, the Dubai port deal wasn't going to cause terrorism, and god I HATE that Terror Alert Meter thing. These are Orwellian devices of control, and as anyone who has read 1984 knows, fear always leads to a confused populus. ANd a confused populus is always easier to control. Call me a apathetic fool, but I refuse to by into the tactics of fear.

P.S. I've just recently created a political satire and commentary page, in part to take advantage of my googlepages account, but mainly to make commentary on day to day events, I'd sure appreciate it if some of you fine people would check it out, its new, but it will be updated daily with the day's news and perhaps some political Flash animations that I've made in the past.
And yes that was a shameless self-promotion, sue me.
