Hegseth attended service at church of ‘Christian nationalist’ pastor who doesn’t think women should vote and wants US to be theocracy

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth reportedly attended a service at Christ Church Washington D.C., a church affiliated with self-identified Christian nationalist Doug Wilson, an influential right-wing leader who seeks to turn the U.S. and other nations into Christian-led theocracies.

This is ABSOLUTE EVIDENCE that Hegseth is a racist asshole.

He did come from Fox.

Another key MAGA demographic.

He is clearly playing to the Trump base

Christian Nationalists are scary, anti- and un-American ideologues. They are against pretty much everything the Constitution stands for.

We know Hegseth's views, so this was in no way surprising.

Your next President, ladies and gentleman.

I have no love for Hegseth and will not defend him, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t point out that Barack Obama spent TWENTY YEARS as a member of a church run by a pastor who shouted racist, anti-Semitic, and anti-American statements from the pulpit and yet Obama got elected president twice.
Funny how nobody cares about that.

Mark

Obama distanced himself from that organization and he never advocated revoking rights. Quite the difference there.

Yes, he did--when he got caught after sitting at that church for two decades.

Mark
So? Did he advocate revoking people's rights? Or other hateful and misogynistic rhetoric?

We are not discussing Obama.

You’d be remiss if you didn’t do a whataboutism?
