Looking at the ballot on line there isn't much there! A lobbyist former senator (Coats) that wants back in the arena now that he doesn't have to run against Even Bayh, and the rest is pretty much local small town or county stuff. And as is par for the course there is not one Independent on the ballot. All this holabaloo about the midterms and there's nothing really there!

How about your state?

BTW I'm still suspicious of the so called polls of Independents. Why? Because I declared myself a republican in the primary because I don't vote straight ticket and liked some of the republican candidates. So considering I'm listed as a republican, how would the pollers know I'm an Independent? How can they accurately target Independents for their polling? If I had declared myself an Independent in the primary I wouldn't have had anyone to vote for!

Both Senators, Governor, House Member, State Senate Member, Assemblyman are all up for election. I voted, I dont like the new system NY has put in place, last election cycle we had the old fashion leavers and now its a paper ballot that goes through a computer.

Thank you for the kind words. I hope you can get away to vote.

I always vote even if I think the choices are crappy or my candidates don't have a chance, which happens more often than not in the very right wing red state of Indiana.

My dad's side had military members including he and myself, and ancestors that go back to father and son patriots in the revolutionary war from Massachusetts. We take the right to vote very seriously. Ironically my mother, who is originally from Germany that became a U.S. citizen shortly after she married my dad, is the most political in the family. She really gets worked up about politics! She has a German friend that lives here that has the opposite political idealogy as my mother and they used to get into some knock down drag out arguments. However the friend can't vote as she's not a citizen. I told my mom in jest to tell her it doesn't matter what she thinks as she can't vote. They've decided that it's best not to discuss politics. ;)

Turn out seems to be heavy! In fact I've never seen it so busy this time of day! FOX and CNN must have been doing a good job making a mid term election seem like a big deal.

PO major? What's that? If it's political poll worker doesn't that mean you're a volunteer?

I'll be voting later today. I won't vote for Grassley this year. Have a fiend a colleague running as a republican for State representative. Her's a good man. I'll vote for him. I'll vote for Culver for governor as I actual do remember when Brandstand was governer before. And I'll vote to retain the judges.

Nothing big in Texas. You have a socialist (White) running against a socialist (Perry). I will be voting Libertarian.

But in Houston, there is Proposition 3, which would get rid of red light cameras. I am voting for getting rid of the cameras.

If I do go vote, which I highly doubt, I'm just gonna choose straight Democrat...It really doesn't matter though, I live in one of the most conservative states in the U.S. and because of that I doubt I vote..

Don't be like that BCR, stand and be counted. Win or lose, you will feel better if you get out and vote. I know I do.
