Some people feel that both the Washington and Jefferson memorials should be at the very least moved elsewhere.

And I expect that eventually the Lincoln Memorial will be used to honor someone other than A. Lincoln.

Like it or not, the U.S. is a-changing.

It is inexplicable to me, but there seem to be significant numbers of Euro American youths who actually support the activists who want to topple statues and rename various places.

Mayor Muriel Bowser's task group came up with a list of statues, monuments, schools that either need to be removed or renamed because they represent an oppressive racist history. On the list it included former presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe, Andrew Jackson, William Henry Harrison, John Tyler, Zachary Taylor and Woodrow Wilson. Others on the list Benjamin Franklin, George Mason, Alexander Graham Bell and Francis Scott Key.
