Of course she was lying, under oath. That's a given. Proving it would be more difficult.

Simple questions like: did you suggest to Trump that he declare martial law? Answer: I don't recall.
So you may have, you may not, you just dont remember? Answer: Yes.

Having the president declare martial law is no small thing. And not done lightly.
Does even the most ardent apologist of those in Trump's circle deny she absolutely would know if she did nor did not encourage the president to declare martial law.

If she's not lying and truly does not remember, then she is too stupid or demented to serve in congress. Then again, we knew that already.

On a positive note, the teal sleeveless dress she wore did soften her otherwise "street whore who's been out in the sun too much" look.

Each side was instructed to submit their briefs by end of day this coming Thursday arguing their position based upon the testimony/evidence. I would expect the court's decision within a week of that. But note, he does not make the final decision. He gives a recommendation to the Georgia secretary of state, who makes the ultimate decision. And that's Brad Raffensburger, who is no fan of Trump and his acolytes.

Still this is a very uphill battle that I don't think the complainants will win.

It is exceedingly difficult to prove that "I can't recall" is a lie.

That's why it's so commonly used in situations like this one.

A judge declared Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green (R-GA) an adverse witness after she repeatedly evaded questions by an attorney who represents voters challenging her eligibility to hold federal office.

The Georgia Republican testified Friday during an evidentiary hearing in the lawsuit, which argues that Greene should be removed from the 2022 ballot because she supported the Jan. 6 insurrection, and she clashed with Free Speech for People attorney Andrew Celli over whether she believed in December 2020 that Donald Trump's election loss was fraudulent.

"When you sent out this tweet, you wanted people to read the tweet and know that it was your view that the vote for Mr. Biden for president was fraudulent, or some of them were," Celli said, but Greene denied that. "I am asking when you sent this, you are communicating to your people who read this Twitter account that you believe that there were fraudulent votes for Mr. Biden, and your goal was to keep the president in the White House."

Greene said she was looking for a senator to join her objection to Biden's election, which she said was her responsibility as a member of Congress.

"I'm entitled to get answers to my question, your honor," Celli said. "Can I ask the court to acknowledge that this is an adverse witness, a hostile witness?"

The judge agreed, saying Greene was an adverse witness and the attorney had a right to cross examine her.

"I would ask the court to remind the witness that in this posture, she has to answer my questions, she cannot give speeches," Celli said. "Is that fair?"

I don't know, didn't watch any of it. The only thing I know is MTG district is heavily Republican, even if she isn't allowed to run again, another Republican will take her place. Maybe not as wacko, but then again, maybe more wacko. No one ever knows. It may be that these Democratic organizations who brought the lawsuit in referrence to the 14th amendment might even be doing the GOP a huge favor. Getting rid of their wackos for them. No doubt about another Republican replacing MTG if she isn't allowed to run for reelection. Republicans aren’t the only party that vote a straight party line. 94% of Republicans voted for Trump in 2020, 94% of Democrats voted for Biden. In the 2018 midterms, 95% of Democrats voted for their congressional candidates, 94% of Republicans voted for their congressional candidates. For those who identify as Republicans and or Democrats, it is all about the R and the D. Who the candidates are, they’re irrelevant. Those who belong to either major party, I refer to them as mindless robots. Only swing voters, independents are free thinkers. They swing wildly between the two major parties. They think for themselves without being dictated to by the party leaders, those leaders telling the party faithful what to think, how to vote, what issues to be for or against.

Yeah, the two party system is working wonders.

I don't see anyone here defending MTG or her answers. Therefore, I can only conclude there is a consensus that she is indeed lying.

If it is that obvious, then surely the judge also sees it. If he rules in her favor, there is a reason: 1) he is partisan in support of GOP candidates, regardless of their behavior in or out of his courtroom, 2) he is bought and paid for by those who want MTG back in the HoR, 3) he has received credible threats against himself or his family.

Is there any other possibly explanation as to why the judge would allow this bitch to sully his courtroom with her obvious lies?

But he IS a Republican and IIRC has otherwise acted for Republicans, and of course he knows he's already under great attack for not doing what trump wanted and banning her would add to that.
