The "Harvard Law Review," by the way, is not actually put out by Harvard. It's the house journal of the Federalist Society, which is a conservative think tank/lobbying entity that tries to push the courts to the right. Mauser was a psych prof at Simon Fraser University (whatever that is), and Kates (RIP) was a lawyer. Both were gun rights advocates, neither had any actual affiliation with Harvard. That's just the tiniest bit of the problems with the original "article."

One notable former president of the student run Harvard Law Review was Barack Obama, who went on to bigger and better things. I don't think he was supported by the Federalist Society. It seems that the house publication for the Federalist Society is the Federalist Society Review.
