We all understand the issues at play. My point was that's it's not exactly the same.

And yes, your mom paying for you counts as you paying if you're a legal adult. Otherwise, I suppose she's busted.

It was more of a joke point. I just find it odd that paying two people to have sex together is ok under the law, but paying one person to have sex with someone else is not.

A hand job is not sex. It would not be considered rape if it was forced, whereas a blowjob would be (in almost every state in the US anyway). It would be "sexual assault", but not rape nor forced sodomy. It isn't sex.

Penetration of the body is required for actual sex. A handjob is fondling, sexual contact, sexual assault (if forced), or something that falls short of sexual penetration.

Does this mean that China couldn't include hand jobs under prostitution? Of course not, its China. I personally feel prostitution should be legal, but paying for/getting paid to give handjobs absolutely should be legal here in the US. You are not going to run nearly the same high risks of STDs and pretty much no risk of pregnancy (unless something really freaky is going on at the climax or just after).

I've always found that hilarious. Two people ****ing only for money is completely ok, as long as they're both being paid. Two people ****ing while neither get paid, also completely ok. Two people ****ing while only one gets paid, TOTALLY ILLEGAL AND RUINING OUR SOCIETY!!

If it is a matter of interpretation than that can be sorted. A man goes to a massage center and the expert there who just happen to be a great TGND like woman does such a good job that the customer pays extra. This extra payment opens up conversations which eventually leads to the two being a couple (at least temporarily). Then they have sex for being a couple and the extra payment has nothing to do with it.

Easy answer for the US - because it's prostitution and even though it's just a handie, protitution is illegal in most states. You can make a case for the legalization of prostitution, but until it is legal, it covers HJs too.

Seriously though, I think it greatly depends on if money changes hands. If your girlfriend gives a massage and a hand job, that's great (can I have her number, BTW), but if you pay someone, then it's prostitution.

The entire context of this really puts into perspective how insanely ridiculous the entire policy actually is.

Here's what we're talking about. We're talking about which body parts you may touch a penis with for compensation. That is literally what this debate is about.

That is absurd.

It's no more absurd in the American debate though. Pay a prostitute for intercourse in the privacy of where ever? Illegal. Pay a porn start for intercourse and put it on the internet? Legal. Pay a dominatrix to do kinky stuff to you, not directly touching your genitals, until you orgasm? Also legal.

I just can't wrap my mind about the sheer stupidity of the entire prostitution debate.
