It is Nelson Mandelas 92nd birthday today.
I was actually watching Invictus last night, and I've seen it a couple of times before but I was amazed once again with the actions of this man. I have no qualms in saying that without this man, I would not be alive, my country would have plunged itself into civil war which I either would have never been born, or if I had I might be dead, or still fighting that civil war today.
The new South Africa isn't perfect, and that fault lies more with his successors, but without him. There would BE no New South Africa.
