Other than JUST paying lip service and thanking our troops this year, I'll be celebrating a little differently. For instance, I have a few tenacious old habits I want to break (ie: smoking cigs) - have also been applying for jobs lately..... After all, Independence Day is about BEING independent, imo - and that entails setting goals and attaining them....
In a nutshell, that's what it all means to me. This is my country and I love it - it's not perfect, but it's my home and I'm proud of it....
I'll leave everyone with (what I believe to be) the best version of "God Bless The USA," sung by Kaitlyn Maher - enjoy!
