A nurse who cared for Terri Schiavo is under investigation and may lose her license because she spoke to Hannity and Colmes about Terri. She gave specific information about Schiavo's condition on a national television show. She apparently went so far as to claim she believed that Terri's husband tried to inject her with inculin to make her seem more sick, which was later found to be untrue.

The nurse says that she is under a moral and ethical obligation to report any abuse towards a patient. Does this mean she should report a patient's condition to a national television show? Would reporting it to her supervisors be enough to satisfy ethical and moral values for a nurse?

I believe that she went too far and should lose her license. I work in the medical field and we are constantly having continuing education about patient privacy. There is a moral and ethical obligation for a nurse to respect patient confidentiality and I feel the nurse violated this.

The Rapture Right strikes again. The ironic part is the new anti whistleblower legistation that the GOP passed makes her even less protected. Ha ha...

Oh, I hope she does lose her license. She has NO business discussing Schiavo's condition to anyone, other than her family. What an unprofessional jerk.
