Gun owners always talk about vehicle owners as being more dangerous, "Cars kill more than guns".

You have to get a License to drive a car. You have to go through an Idiot loophole because there is no 2A.

The MVIR screens the worst, but doesn't RESTRICT ANYONE. If you are able to drive, you are able to.

The last time I took my kid hunting there were 8 kids firing in my area. When I tried to discuss gun safety with them they laughed at me because even when firing on my land, they thought gun freedom WAS UNCHALLENGED.

I've spent lots of time on the range and on the road. As such I've been around lots of people using guns and lots of people using cars. Speaking from my own experience I will say that yes, vehicle owners are more dangerous.

Only if you're driving on public roads. Owning a car or driving a car on your own land requires no license whatsoever.

If you get too many moving violations you're not allowed to drive.

Sounds like poachers to me.

And you didn't call the DNR or Game enforcement for such dangerous behavior?

I think I see the problem here.

I mean, they're not really comparable, for a number of reasons - the main one being their purpose, and another following that, is likely to be their frequency of use.

People all over the United States drive their cars, all day, every day - in good and bad conditions, in empty and congested areas, etc... and since there are so many people driving, some of them are bound to have accidents. Looks like around 8-10 million traffic accidents occur per year, with obviously most of those not having any fatalities. Accident related fatalities have been on a steady decline since the 60s.

I've been to many gun ranges and at some gun ranges I've spent up to eight hours a day on and shot thousands of rounds. Not once in all my experiences at gun ranges had I ever seen somebody being dangerous or been in fear of an accident happening.

I've also driven across the country and back many times, in the car I've had since 2014 I've already put over 250,000 miles on it. I've seen tons of bad drivers and I've had tense and fearful moments on the road.

Firstly, your personal experience doesn't mean anything. Secondly, I did not at any point attempt to argue that cars were less dangerous than guns, so I'm not sure what your point is anyway.

You should state that to the OP. It is more applicable to that post.
