You are assigned a particular polling place to make sure you are voting for the corret representation all all levels of government. Gun control does not work that way so the parallel between the two is a stretch at best.

The vast majority of harm caused by people using firearms are by those with felony records. Only morons would think that a felon is going to sign up for training when he cannot legally buy a gun. Only morons think that people-who don't care about the consequences of murdering or robbing others, will worry about the consequences of not partaking of government mandated training.

Gun banners traditionally support ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that they think will harass gun owners. and if they can use non-compliance as an excuse to prosecute, all the better
