Instead of derailing my earlier OP, thought this would be best to address the double standards

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was exposed for attending a shut-down hair salon in San Francisco Monday without a face mask while the business remains closed to the public. Pelosi joins a long list of Democratic politicians blowing off the very lockdown orders they’ve imposed on the American people.
On Tuesday, Fox News broke the story releasing security footage that shows Pelosi in the salon with wet hair and no face covering despite everyone else in the shop adhering to indoor mask guidelines.
“It was a slap in the face that she went in, you know, that she feels that she can just go and get her stuff done while no one else can go in, and I can’t work,” salon owner Erica Kious told Fox News, noting she “can’t believe” the House speaker wore no mask.
“We’re supposed to look up to this woman, right?” Kious said. “It is just disturbing.”
Pelosi’s office confirmed Tuesday the Democratic leader’s presence, claiming she did nothing wrong.
“The speaker always wears a mask and complies with local COVID requirements,” Pelosi’s Deputy Chief of Staff Drew Hammill said in a statement.
San Francisco is under a mask mandate requiring residents to don face coverings to enter any local business. Here’s the text of the guidance on San Francisco’s government website:
