Capitalism because it is mostly up to you in where you rank in society.

Most of these are economic systems not political systems. Communism, Capitalism, Socialism - these are economic systems.

USA - Democracy capitalism
France - Democracy socialism

The political system is democracy.

Democracy
Totaltarism
Absolute Monarchy
Constitutional Monarchy
Despotism
Fundalmentalism
Republic

Funny enough, their can be a Democratic Communist country, it's just never been tried.

oh right...I didn't notice that lol...

But isn't the USA a republic?

I think a republic and capitalism is the best way of doing things

I prefer socialism...sort of. I think the major industries must be controled by the government, but I really dont have a big problem with some small busineses here and there. And yes, the USA is not a democracy, it is a constitutional republic. A democracy is where the people rule. A republic is where the people elect their rulers.

Wow, nice, the poll is tied 5-5, I voted for Socialism as well, Communism just could never work, it's just like Totaliarism, Social Democracy is the best because it doesn't revolve around greed like Capitalism, "cough" America "cough"

Define Greatest.

If the subject was "most efficient" then I would pick despotism. These are the countries that succeed for the longer periods of time. Even old monarchy was just a form of despotism. Imperial china for example...the emperors descisions were absolute and they succeeded more effectively than any other nation in history. Of course this is not black and white, as the throne changed hands hundreds of times and it was not purely the emperor making descisions.

Most ideal I think would be capitalist democracy. It leaves a lot of people in the dirt but it's just so efficient without oppressing as much as despotism.

So I work long, hard, and smart for myself to make more money for me and mine in a society that rewards good ideas and value. I invest in my knowledge and the tools of my trade. And you call me greedy. Let me guess, your another sub 20 year old who hasn't yet made 100k in his life. Am I correct?

The term democracy is too broad for this poll, it needs to be more specific.

I picked Communism because its the most democratic because there is NO government, so it can't be totalitarian, and Hornburger capitalism doesn't let you pick, did I choose to be rich or poor, I most certainly DID NOT, there is no system where pick your social class, thats why communism is better because there is NONE, and Soviet Guy, socialism can be both totalitarian or democratic, but unlike capitalism it works better under democratic

and there is no communist country because otherwise there wouldn't have been social classes, money, or government, the USSR,Cuba were both socialist, but socialism is rather vague

I never said the chance was equal. I said there is a chance. And in communism ideally there is none...but of course there always is social classes. In Communist Russia those classes were even more clearly defined than when the czar was in power.

I voted Socialism. People are more equal in a Socialism system, but I don;t like the whole government controls everything

All right - I voted capitalist because as a FEDERAL REPUBLIC form of government, the US is a free-market (and thus capitalistic) society.

However, capitalism isn't a form of government. Its a social structure based on a free market, personal property, freedom, and individual rights.

This discussion seems to be more about economic system than form of government. We could easily have a one party state government like in China and still have capitalisn.

America is not a democracy, but a Republic. To be democracy, it would have to

A) Be a direct democracy where every citizen motions and votes on every single legislation instead of an elite few who vote on our behalf.

B) The tyranny of the majority reigns over the minority. In a republic, minority groups have leverage over the majority.

:bravo:

Yes, that's exactly what Socialism would allow.

I say the best political system is a theocracy. A true theocracy is not a rule from a religious group , but rather from God. When we are in his presence (those of us worthy enough) we will have the perfect government.

You know, if the Communists voted Social, then it'd be 19 to 10 instead of the one sided situation we have here.

If there wasn't communism as an option, I would have.

TO BE HONEST IMPERIALISM IS THE GREATEST ECONOMIC SYSTEM Actually because you get more out of it. But its wrong.

So capitalism is the next best thing.
