Rand Paul to have hernia surgery in Canada

Let's sharpen up those anti-universal healthcare arguments, cons. Explain away your hero's choice of hospitals.

Rand said, he chose this hospital because it is a "world renowned hospital." Shouldice Hernia Hospital, is "the only licensed hospital in the world dedicated to repairing hernias," according to its website.

Want to try reading your source before making some irrelevant, partisan, shallow point? The hospital has nothing to do with universal healthcare.

This is a private, world renowned hospital separate from any system and people come from around the world to pay cash for their services," Cooper said in a statement.

While Shouldice Hernia Hospital is privately owned — like many Canadian hospitals — it receives a majority of its funding from the Ontario government and accepts the Ontario’s Hospital Insurance Plan.

Couple of points here:

How can a country with socialized healthcare, like Canada, produce a "world renowned hospital"? Doesn't socialized healthcare kill off competition and initiative?

How can this hospital claim to be private when it accepts most of its funding from the government, and accepts the government's insurance plan?

How can the guy who once equated universal healthcare with slavery not see that, at the very least, this looks terrible?

I'm not interested in revisiting the O/P or any post thereafter, because it's clear that you don't understand why your thread is a :failpail:

i don't understand why Paul doesn't want the best health care in the world[sup]TM[/sup]. i wonder if it could be that Canadian surgeons are more qualified to remove his head from Trump's ass.

The Headline was all that was needed to make the point... "Let's sharpen up those anti-universal healthcare arguments, cons. Explain away your hero's choice of hospitals." piece of snark.

It was such a very short article to read... and finding the... This is a Private, world renowned hospital>>> was quite simple.

Plus reading the short article, a person would also know that Rand Paul's injury was caused by his neighbor attacking him.

Plus, that neighbor is being sued to pay for that surgery.

Roseann:)

Thank God we can still seek out doctors of our choosing from the land of the free. Let's hope the Bolsheviks don't end up taking away those rights with democrat mandated government high tax healthcare schemes.

Because rich US citizens, just like rich Canadian citizens pay the bill as presented. IOW, he isn’t you.
