I am afraid that Mr Obama has fumbler a number of passes and this one is one of the more important.

The US status quo is a financial gravy train to the Military Industrial Corporate Complex. Overpriced, often useless, obsolete, weapons at Tiffany prices. The Fat Cats and politicians divvy up the spoils and fly a flag to pretend they're patriots. Look at the F35 program. Trillions down the rathole, but never stop a good thing once you got it going. Floating islands ( carriers) that can be taken out by a missile that hits miles away, but vety nice profits. The War Industry is the only growth industry in the US and we should be ashamed of that. The current debt situation is about to make a big change there because the rest of the World cannot be foolish enough to continue relying on a Faith/Confidence based currency founded upon debt.

The White House & Pentagon have not got anything right yet. All its planning and scheming have brought us to this screwed-up status quo.

Yes, it's great for the Military Industrial Complex bottom line, but it has not achieved anything it claimed it would achieve.

Known liars, or bumbling idiots? Probably a lot of both.
