Sources close to the Plame investigation are now saying that Patrick Fitzgerald is going to hand multiple indictments to the Grand Jury for consideration. It is beginning to look like Rove's demotion is more than it seems. We can expect Rove to be indicted before the end of the year.

Article is here.

Re: Rove to be Indicted

There are signs he could be indicted. Boy, that would really be a blow to the Republicans.

The signs are that Rove was called "subject" by Fitzgerald in recent documents. Being called "subject" isn't as bad as being called a "suspect," but it's the next worse thing. Also, it appears that Rove won't be called to testify in Scooter Libby's case by the prosecutor, even though he was clearly involved in the Valerie Plame issue. I am not saying that Rove outted her, but he spoke to both Bob Novak and Cooper (whose first name escapes me right now) from Time magazine. Anyway, it is normal procedure to NOT call someone as a witness when that someone is going to be indicted.

jfuh, if this does happen, would you pour me a glass of champagne?

Thing is, is anything besides "revealing the name of a covert agent" enough justice?

I thought Rove had been playing ball and was not getting indicted?

All networks are now reporting that Rove is at this time testifying for his fifth time before the grand jury.

Yep, Rove testified again today, as he has done four times previous....and then he went home. No indictment. But it was still a funny thread title, Dan. :2razz:

Too late, aps. You didn;t pray hard enough, I guess. He testified again (ths is the 4th time) and then he went home. No handcuffs, no shackles, no perp walk. Darn your luck.

LOL Well I certainly didn't think he would be indicted today! I think Fitzgerald is still in the process of collecting evidence.

I think that any chance of romance might fade with me and my mate Navy in the same room.

But, being the gentleman that I am, I will patiently just wait my turn and let Navy get his fill first.

Besides, once I get past the used part, it's like going first anyways.:rofl

Then why did Fitzgerald tell his lawyer he is not a target of the investigation?

And Fitzgerald told his lawyer he is not a target of the investigation. Why do you keep leaving that pertinent piece of information out?

That's an excellent question, of course. It kind of makes you wonder why this thread was given such a disingenuous title.

Nope. Actually, this will be the subject of yet another one of my gloating "I told you so" threads in the not too distant future. :)

You said he is to be indicted, his lawyer was told by Fitzgerald today that he was not a target of the investigation.

Have you responded to my question in the Army poll thread yet?

Thus the future tense stinger. But like I said in the first response to this thread, we'll see what happens; who know's maybe some one bigger will be indicted?
