He had a chance,,,,,even took money from the military when (surprise) Mexico did not pay, and did not deliver, so I'd say if you want a wall, Trump ain't the guy.

So that means Texas will be sucking at the federal teat and using federal tax funds. And the results will be a waste of taxpayer funds and higher taxes.

POTUS Biden doesn’t remember if he watched a replay of the debate and TX Gov. Abbott doesn’t remember when Trump pledged to build a Beautiful Wall paid for by Mexico.

Please figure it out, Trump lies. Nothing he has promised you folks does he plan, or care, to deliver on. He thinks is is literally funny to cheat people. What makes you different?

That is why I paint an equivalency between Trump supporters and those standing around a Three Card Monty table being taken in by its grifting operator.
 
And the $20 billion is a low ball estimate.
About 50 miles of new wall was built under Trump.
Some sections of it cost roughly $20 million per mile.

458 miles of new wall was built under Trump. You do not get to subtract the inferior old fencing that much of the new wall replaced.

Only about 50 miles of that was NEW wall.
The rest was repairs on existing wall sections and secondary walls around border entry points.

The 452 miles of border wall that have been constructed are only a fraction of the 1,954 miles of U.S.-Mexico border. And only a small portion of the 452 miles — about 40 miles as of Dec. 18, according to a Customs and Border Protection report published by nonpartisan Factcheck.org — is newly constructed wall where none previously existed.

Repairs on existing wall sections happen with every administration.
The fact is Trump spent billions of tax monies, a large section of it pulled for the DOD budget, on a 3rd century technology
 
The point is you are still attempting to subtract old inferior wall from 458 miles of new wall as if only 50 or so miles of wall was completed. It's a desperate debate tactic.

And it will still be scaled/breached in seconds, but Trumps political donors will get $30 billion.

It's the truth, only 50 miles on new wall was built at a cost of about $20 million per mile.
Many argue the money would have been better spent on more Border Patrol agents and equipment and electronic security measures. Which would have cost less and implemented much faster. All of which was in the Border Bill recently rejected by House Republicans.

Republicans may have been in control of both chambers, but they didn't support Trump.

Hell, don't you remember what happened in the Senate? McCain?
