The Democrats have been waging it under the guise of the "war on poverty." 8+ trillion dollars later and the ranks of the poor are greater than when they started, the number of people dependent on the government is greater than it ever was in the history of this nation.

Truth is, the poor are just a tool the Democrats use to further their own agenda.

Here's a thought: How about limiting residency in public housing to one generation, instead of five? I have no doubt that offering public housing to those who need it is helpful. Maybe you can explain how that initial help turns into a lifestyle passed on from generation to generation going back over 50 years. And the fifth generation is as poor as the first one was.

When you are living on the money other people pay in taxes, you are making THEM slaves. If you aren't feeding, clothing and housing yourself through your OWN work, then you are doing it at the expense of others. It's your life. YOU work to sustain it. It's something too basic for people not to understand it.

:agree: I don't know how many generations ago it was that slavery was abolished, but it's been long enough that a change in thinking should have occurred by now. Using whites or Orientals or Mexicans, or any other group, as scapegoats for their problems isn't getting them anywhere. Why are some continuing to act as perpetual victims, instead of taking responsibility for their own lives? Blacks aren't the only group having a difficult time these days!
