Republicans are preparing to release a report in a matter of days on their investigation focused on former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden, a move they hope will put fresh scrutiny on the Democratic nominee just weeks from the election.

“I think it’s time for the American people to see what we’ve got,” said Johnson, who chairs the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.

Though he’s argued for months that his probe isn’t being driven by the 2020 election, Johnson has teased the forthcoming findings as damaging to Biden’s political prospects and placed it in the context of the rapidly approaching November election.

"What our investigations are uncovering, I think, will reveal this is not somebody we should be electing president of the United States," Johnson said in an interview with local Wisconsin radio station WCLO.

But it was the establishment that sought to block Sanders. They knew he couldn't win in the general election, and if Sanders had gotten the nomination the damage to the 'down ballot' would mean for certain losing control of the HofR for the Democrats.

The inability of the Democrats to narrow their field earlier ended up with a dillution of available primary votes for any other possible viable candidates. Loony Pochohantis stayed in too long, she hurt the only one closer to her platform (Sanders), and the other parade of hopefuls which the establishment believed could possibly have appeal like Bloomberg and Harris--- their campaigns just went flat. Proof that the damage that the Clinton machine did to the Democratic party in scaring off viable candidates four years ago still has reverberations today. It will take another few years for the Democrat party to decide who they really want to be. If they were smart they would start moving back closer to the center where they would probably win 8 out of 10 contests. The dems courted the far left progressive for so long, that they handed Trump at least 25% of his current base.
