GOP Sees Shot at Regaining Foley's Former Seat

And I see them getting it back soon. This district is probably one of the most Republican in the nation, so unless another child molester is the GOP candidate, the Dems are going to lose it for sure, no matter how badly Bush is perceived. What I find interesting is the fact that the GOP is not saying it is a sure fire cinch they will take back the district. That could be because, if a Republican wins there, with a Democratic Congress, he won't be getting any committee assignments. Meanwhile, the Democrats have given Mahoney a lot of plums. In my opinion, though, I don't think that is enough to keep the seat. We will see next year. I predict a Republican win there, but I also predict the Dems keeping control of the House, with close to the same numbers they have today.
