As the covfefe between trump and newsome keeps playing out in public let's listen to trump's own words.

“I think I’m going to be filing a lawsuit pretty soon and I think we’re going to be very successful in it. We’re going to be filing it through the Department of Justice, that’s going to happen,” Trump said in the Oval Office.

Trump is filing a lawsuit and handing it over to his doj to go after Newsom for doing what trump wanted from Texas, redistricting.

In July, the president demanded that Texas Republicans create five more House seats by redrawing its congressional map, eliminating a handful of blue districts. The order, and Texas’s subsequent obedience, elicited shock and contempt from two of the country’s most populous regions—California and New York. Both states have launched their own redistricting wars in the wake of the vote.

Hypocrites, trump, his goons and his followers. Feel free to show me the error of my thinking.

Praising Trump's war on criminals while defending his pardoning of the Jan 6th violent criminals
Supporting his firing of the Fed official for mortgage fraud while arguing his conviction was a witch hunt

It could be an instance in which you are being beaten at your own game. Ample instances of democrat gerrymandering have already been posted on this site. It’s an example of the left demanding a devotion to higher principles from the GOP than the left routinely practices themselves. I recommend you get all worked up over it.
 
The issue isn't gerrymandering per se. It's doing it mid cycle at the request of a President worried about losing his razor thin majority. An unprecedented and most think an unethical move.

I don’t see that rules have anything to do with the proposed redistricting, on the left or right. Whoever has the most political power within each state will likely prevail.
 
But the Democrats, an old and lame response. Can you tell us what democratic president ever ordered a redistricting in a state the Democrats controlled, specifically told the state to redistrict in order to gain seats, not through elections but through underhanded politics like trump is trying to use in Texas. I'll wait.

Nah, the GOP has won convincingly. The dems don't really stand a chance. The only way forward is to just change to become right-wing light at best. The country has changed irreversibly, and these dems are just not reading the room. Their old platforms pretty much need to be ditched entirely. They are never gonna win another election in this country until they figure out a way to be at least more openly and proudly bigoted, isolationist, and anti-science.

Gotta give credit where credit is due: Trump really did so much winning. I never thought it was possible to wreck a country so convincingly and irreversibly to something so completely unrecognizable. Congratulations!

There's nothing above that tells me which democratic president ordered a redistricting in the middle of a census. You have nothing so maybe you need to take a look above. That was an even more lame response than your previous attempt.

Don’t confuse law and order with politics in the trenches. The form of adjudication you’re looking for occurs at the ballot box. I have no doubt that both left and right will do anything they can get away with to that end. You may want to review funding for CHIRLA before getting all huffy.

This is a law and order issue: why do we still have a dangerous 34-count convicted felon, rapist, grifter, and traitor loose on the streets, let alone running the country? This is unprecedented in American history.
