GOP Complains Christmas Not The Time To Impeach

Our old buddy Newt Gingrich made a big deal on Fox about how unfair the Dems are with impeachment. He rambled on and on with Fox News saying it's way too close to Christmas to impeach Trump.

I guess he forgot we had camera recording equipment in the 90s. Bill Clinton was literally lighting the Christmas tree on the mall when REPUBLICANS announced the articles
of impeachment against him.

What is wrong with these Trump supporters? Do they think were dumb or something? Total liars.
 

Keep it going. Not that many are watching the hearings anyway. 34% of all Americans are watching which includes 54% of Democrats, 24% of independents and 27% of Republicans. So over half of all folks who are watching all, part, some or highlights are democrats. 32% of Americans say they're very interested in the hearings which again includes 51% of Democrats, 22% of independents and 21% of Republicans. So why aren't more folks interested in the hearings and impeachment in general? I think it has to due with the Democrats setting out on this track since the day after the election. That this is old hat to most. So the democrats are going to impeach Trump, they been promising to do this for 3 years now. Nothing unexpected, tired and ancient news. Perhaps most Americans want the democrats to do it so we can just move on. Get it over with. Christmas or no Christmas, who cares outside of the very die hard partisans, the pro and anti Trumpers.

Stop crying wolf. Quite a lot are tied of hearing about the wolf.

Well the lot of you are trying to actually impeach a sitting president, with some of the flimsiest claims that I've ever seen... so yes. A good number of Trump supporters are correct to think as such concerning the lot of you.
 

It's the perfect christmas gift for the political rabbit population in our society. Did you get the video of the DEMs complaining about impeachment at that time?
Seems history continues to repeat itself in politics. You can literally take all of the political talking points on both sides today and reverse them for the equivalent mess we had in the 90's. One will see how this entire episode runs out, but my guess is that history will repeat itself again with the outcome.

Um...yes...a sitting president is generally who is subject to the possibility of being impeached.

Seeing as even quid pro quo isn't even an impeachable act. I don't know what it is that they think they'll achieve. Other then working to smear the man just like they've done before... and how much exactly, did that work for them the last time around?

Just half-joking. The fact is, they play mostly their own constituents as dumb because that is to whom they are really speaking.

Too bad impeachment could not have been passed at the same time that gorgeous-chested Trump was standing there with Melanie while she lit the National Christmas tree.
 

Clarity is not an issue. That is, unless one takes the Trumpster approach and selectively and conveniently forget about the mountain of facts and the smorgasboard of misconduct.

Yep, here is the public's response to impeachment hearings since their beginning. Comparing Trump’s approval ratings, percentage of those who want Trump impeached and removed along with those who don’t. As you can see Trump’s approval rating hasn’t really moved. Then there is the party break down. Democrats totally for impeachment and removal, Republicans totally against. Independents split right down the middle. Democrats for impeachment and removal have risen 5 point since the start of the hearings. Republicans against impeachment and removal has risen 8 points since the beginning. Independents, in favor of impeachment and removal have rose 6 points as too has independent against impeachment and removal. Bottom line, these hearing hasn’t moved the needle or changed anyone’s view on the situation except make each side harden their position on Trump.

Yeah, the dumb half. Impeaching a president without a single opposing party member in support is nothing but a partisan hack job. Most people know this.

What you are watching is desperation and the demise of the Democrat party. Hence why the DNC is bankrupt.

This is a propaganda battle.

We heard from Turkey that the impeachment is moving too fast, after his side was crying "vote already!" for months.

This is for one purpose.

To allow time to generate new narratives and give them time to set. For the smokescreens to get thicker.

This is all about frames and narratives.

Not truth and justice.

Because the current republican narrative is that the DNC hacked itself and released the emails itself in order to frame Russia. And they had help doing it from Ukraine.

So they threw the election to trump, but framed him and Russia, so they could impeach him after sabotaging their own candidate.

It isn't even a coherent conspiracy, but it is gospel to about 40% of the electorate.

And as long as they continue to hold these voters in thrall trump can literally do whatever the hell he wants to do.
 
impeachment is pretty easy to avoid : don't commit serious offenses like extorting another country for election interference bribes or lying about a blow job.
 

The partisanship lies with republicans who refuse to comply with a legitimate investigation. If there was nothing to hide why all the obstruction? There is no defense for their behavior.

It is relevant to Gingrich (who is largely responsible for out current political climate) deriding the democrats for impeaching at Christmas time when he led the charge for Clinton's impeachment that was delivered on the 19th of December.

Perfect hypocricy. But he knows that the condemnation will stick and the hypocrisy will be ignored.

January: “It’s completely inappropriate to kick off the start of the year by impeaching!”
February: “You can’t impeach a president in a month with George Washington’s Birthday!”
March: “March?! You’re gonna bum out people on St. Patrick’s day by impeaching a President??!”
April: “Oh, well you can just forget that ****. Nobody’s impeaching nobody while Jesus is rising from the grave.”

Doesn't both me if Trump goes or stays. What interests me is the public's reaction and how it might effect the up coming election. especially for my House, Senate and Presidential forecasts. Right now it's a wash, I'm not seeing impeachment and removal have any effect on the up coming elections. So far anyway.
