Corporations don't have to accept diversity, but they probably should.

there is no law but people do not want to be associated with racism and understand that hate can have no place in this country. A company that doesnt accept race or trans gender has a real problem.

I wasn't sure if this belonged in Law & Government or here, sorry if it's in the wrong place.

Google has seemingly endorsed Black Lives Matter and weighed in on the deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile. Personally I don't think multibillion corporations like Google should be weighing in on socio-political issues one way or another, let alone endorsing a controversial political movement like Black Lives Matter. What do you guys think of this? Will this mean anything for Google's business? Set a precedent for more companies to take sides in political disputes?

It looks like Google was just showing solidarity with the Googlers vigil for two black men that were mercilessly murdered. There's nothing wrong with showing empathy for a group of Americans that are exercising their right to voice their opinions in support for change. I think it is un-American to say they don't have a right to be heard and voice their grievances against a system that is killing them.

I don't think the attack in Dallas should negate or diminish what happened to Alton Sterling and Philando Castile. Their deaths showed the world that blacks are disproportionately being killed by cops in this country and it's going to be hard a lot harder to ignore it from now on.

The demonstration in Dallas was peaceful until towards the end and the shooting started. As it stands...we don't know who the terrorists are or their motive for targeting and ambushing cops. It could've been any number of domestic anti-government, anti-police, anti-US groups...of which Texas has plenty of... and they saw the demonstration as an opportunity to carry out their own agenda. We just don't know yet because the situation is still fluid and on-going....and too soon to form an opinion or draw a conclusion.

Could you be any colder? I get you don't give a rats as about a few dead cops in Texas but to blame it on Texas, well I disagree. What if it turns out it was BLM sympathizers? You gonna condemn it or just blame cops and or Texas again?

Are you struck by how it's totally fine to draw a quick conclusion and assume the cops are racists and just targeting black people every time police use deadly force against someone whose black. It's even fine to change what really happened as in that whole "hands up, don't shoot" BS. Oh, but someone targets police officers and then we must not have an emotional reaction to it and be careful to not rush to judgment, after all, it is just Texas.

I stopped using Google years ago. BING is way more comprehensive search engine anyway.. I don't get why these corporations pick sides on matters like this, terrible business strategy.

And even if the killing of these 5 officers hadn't occured, no one should endorse BLM anyway. It's a disruptive group, not a civil one.

You gave the BLM people the benefit of the doubt; while I don't think that Black Lives Matter is some kind of urban terrorist group, it remained much more likely radicals from BLM conducted then some random anti government group.
