Good role models?

This may sound childish but good role models arent "cool" there is this idea that politicians teachers etc should be good role models but do children really model themselves on any of these people.

I think people have a tendancy to look up to the james dean rebel without a cause charactor than the responsible mr nice guy.I dont even think this is changeable these charactors are much more powerful.

Why this constant talk of good role models.
 
Children are great imitators. They will emulate what they see especially when they are young. I think positive role models that they know personally are far better motivators though then people they don't know.
