We normally don’t go in for awards shows. There was not much on last night and we had overdone the NFL. What a difficult to watch and a poorly rehearsed event. I could only watch a few minutes and then off to bed with a book. Anyone else try to watch the Golden Globes?

I have not watched awards shows since Bob Hope stopped hosting them. They have all gone downhill since then.

But I have read that the President was NOT mentioned once. Finally, an awards show with a little class.

(I did hear, however, that some actor who was full of himself did sully the purity of the proceedings by getting in some political digs about a previous Republican administration.)

I cut the chord in 2009. Have not missed TV at all. I write most nights. My wife finds what she likes to watch online. Works out well.

I hate award shows; always have. I've watched maybe two in the past decades, both times when husby (who loves the damned things) insisted on watching them and I was too freaking lazy to leave the room, lol!
