God of the Gaps

well, that really doesn't say anything, now does it. I have no idea what is meant by 'An infinite being'. The term 'Being' has so many meanings. I mean, without more information about what is meant by 'being', and what an 'infinite being' would be, it's just so much word salad.

are you being intentionally obtuse?

This is probably THEE #1 rationale for those arguing for a god on msg bods.
"Well then, how did all this stuff just appear?"
If we can't explain it/explain it yet, it must be 'god.'
The same bogus/failed 'logic' used for creating Fire, Lightning, Sun, Fertility, and Ten thousand other 'gods.'

ie,

"... arguing for a god" aye?

You may want to prepare yourself better with some internet readings of San Tomas Aquinas.

At any rate, my reply negates your proposition.

And you are obviously arguing from ignorance.

No..You see.. people do not define their terms properly..a nd the switch the definition depending on the cirucimstances. That leads to the logical fallacy of 'equivocation'.

THere is also being vague, and making things ill defined. People will escape into ill defined terms to make claims they can not back up.. to avoid answer the questions. It has to do with meaning. If people retreat to vague terms, and do not define what they mean, then what they claim has equally poor definitions.

or people claim that someone else is being vague so that They can avoid backing up claims. It's just so much word salad...

Is it?? Making people define what they mean is a way to get rid of word salad. If you aren't speaking the same definitions, you are talking past each other. People who are not willing to define what they mean often are talking word salad, and using lots of logical fallacies.
