UUP and DUP reject Sinn Féin's gay marriage referendum proposal

UUP and DUP reject Sinn Féin's gay marriage referendum proposal - BBC News

Gay marriage is allowed in the real Ireland, not the sham that is Northern Ireland. Northern Ireland is part of the UK.

The Republic of Ireland put Same Sex Marriage on the ballot, and it passed overwhelmingly, and I am very happy that it did.

If the citizens of the sham that is Northern Ireland had the chance to vote, it would pass.

Well from some quick research it looks like those two parties do not hold a majority so it could still happen and on top of that the DUP only said they did not want a referendum but that it should go before the assembly instead.
