Oz has emerged as an icon in the campaign to demonize conventional foods and promote organics. Whole Foods’ website proselytizes about its commitment to GMO labeling initiatives. Ben & Jerry’s promotes its “Labelize It!” slogan, imploring Americans to chant along. And organic lobbying group Organic Consumers Association warns the public to protect its so-called “right to know” what’s in our food.

In the science world, there are no real questions about the safety and benefits of genetically engineered foods. That’s settled science, agreed upon by everyone from Bill Nye and Neil DeGrasse Tyson, and including every
major science oversight agency in the world, from the World Health Organization to the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Yet anti-GMO lobbying groups and others with financial interests in blocking sales of genetically engineered foods continue to inject fear and apprehension into the public psyche.
Anti-GMO “Right to Know” movement cashing in on scaring and confusing consumers

Yeah, so not only are the anti-GMO people idiots for opposing genetically modified foods, they are falling prey to the kind of deceptive corporate profiteering they purport to abhor. How ironic.

Not too ironic, our society these days is pervaded with such deceptive corporate profiteering. In fact it is darn near impossible to figure out who's telling the truth.

However it is noteworthy that several countries are now moving to ban Monsanto's "Roundup".
Never mind mere groups asking for information, entire countries have banned or restricted GMO.

In addition to France and Germany, other European countries that placed bans on the cultivation and sale of GMOs include Austria, Hungary, Greece, and Luxembourg.[7] Poland has also tried to institute a ban, with backlash from the European Commission.[8] Bulgaria effectively banned cultivation of genetically modified organisms on 18 March 2010.[9]

What can you conclude from that? Entire nations run by fools?

Yes they are.
