Anyone know how to get rid of unwanted email addresses on Gmail? Among others, I found a couple email addresses on the list that I know nothing about and have not a clue as to how they got in the address file.

Are you talking about in your contacts list that shows up on the left side of the page? They populate that list with pretty much any address that you send email to, or receive email from frequently. I don't know that you can fully delete them from that list, but if you hover over the name/address, a little window will pop up. Down in the lower right hand corner will be a small down arrow; click that and you can select Never Show to hide it from your list.
