Glenn Greenwald and David Gregory got into a bit of a row on NBC's Meet the Press after Gregory asked whether Greenwald should maybe be prosecuted for "aiding and abetting" National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden. Surprisingly, Greenwald did not appreciate being called a criminal by a fellow journalist! "I think it’s pretty extraordinary that anybody who would call themselves a journalist would publicly muse about whether or not other journalists should be charged with felonies," he said. Greenwald said "the assumption" he did anything to help Snowden, besides act as the vessel for his classified leaks, "completely without evidence." Greenwald cited the Justice Department investigations of the Associated Press and Fox News as evidence the administration is trying to "criminalize investigative journalism" and accusing reporters of "being co-conspirator in felonies for working with sources." But Greenwald wasn't done there: "If you want to embrace that theory it means that every investigative journalist in the United States who works with their sources, who receives classified information, is a criminal." Gregory responded to Greenwald's dressing down by questioning whether or not he counts as a journalist. "The question of who's a journalist may be up to a debate with regard to what you're doing," he said, before adding that he was just "asking a question that has been raised by lawmakers," and "not embracing anything." Fun times!

Being a shill for Obama must be great. Gregory can commit a criminal act by possessing and display a large capacity ammo magazine on TV calling it journalism, while pointing the finger at an real investigative reporter. I'm surprised the NBC did edit the discussion to make Grenwald a monster.

When it comes to protecting President Obama and the left-wing agenda, we have seen the media turn against its own before. Bob Woodward felt the wrath of his colleagues after popping the balloon of Obama's dishonest sequester narrative; and after numerous errors, the one that almost finally did Howard Kurtz in was the one aimed at the media's politically correct sacred cow of the week. Now it looks to be Glenn Greenwald's turn.

If the media is so outraged with Greenwald's expose' about the NSA and the whistleblowing Snowden, I wonder why they haven't become angry about the seven times NBC has been caught selectively editing photos, audios and videos, always in ways to benefit Barack Hussein Obama or the Progressive's latest rampage.

On Sunday’s “Meet the Press,” NBC News host David Gregory conducted an informative and provocative interview with Glenn Greenwald, the Guardian journalist who has broken much of the recent material on National Security Agency (NSA) surveillance. Gregory pushed Greenwald for details on where his source, former NSA contractor Edward Snowden, was headed; on secrecy and accountability; on whether Snowden had broken the law. And, finally, on whether Greenwald himself had broken the law:

The entire question of Greenwald’s “aiding and abetting,” furthermore, collapses when considering what it would entail. Snowden was a contractor for the National Security Agency. Over his years of work in intelligence, he developed an exquisite understanding of the government’s eavesdropping activities. Plus, he had passcodes and access privileges that came with his position.

Just how was Glenn Greenwald, a journalist, going to help Snowden in extracting files from the NSA? Greenwald is steeped on issues of privacy law, he’s good on Twitter and appears to understand the Web, but really — any suggestion that he aided and abetted a intelligence veteran-cum-computer wiz perhaps accords him a bit too much credit.

Therefore the answers coming from WAPO may be a little mush for you. Gregory tried to use an old trick by asking Greenwald a when did you stop beating your wife bit. Did you or anyone like you make any claims of Gregory's criminality in possessing and displaying a large capacity ammo clip without authority? I don't think so. Where do you or anyone like you make the claim that David Gregory is a legitimate journalist?
