Glenn Beck's anti-gay army of God

Here's some great research from Grim's favorite site, Media Matters.

It basically just shows you the anti-gay agenda behind of lot of people associated with Glenn Beck.

Now, Glenn is, of course, fond of drawing lines on his chalk board to associate people in the Obama administration with Communists/Socialists... but I think you'll find that the people on this list are people Glenn actually knows and ASSOCIATES with, does business with, and supports...

As he attempts to rebrand himself as a spiritual leader, Glenn Beck has surrounded himself with religious and secular figures who share a fervent opposition to the "homosexual agenda."

David Barton
James Dobson
Randy Forbes
Jim Garlow
John Hagee
Terence Henry
Alveda King
Richard Land
Daniel Lapin
Patrick Lee
Richard Lee
Miles McPherson
Chuck Norris
Sarah Palin
James Robison
Charles Stanley

No wonder Chuck Norris had such a crappy Hollywood career. The Octagon! No gay man shall ever leave!!

The only name I readily recognize out of that list is Hagee. As far as the article goes, I don't really get what the issue is. The right wing in America is feverishly opposed to homosexuality. The tea-party and their Messiah, Monsieur Beck, are nothing more than an openly politicized re-branding of the so called Christian revolution of the mid 1970s and early 1980s. Not to mention that Beck himself is a Mormon. Not exactly a gay-friendly crowd. This seems like general knowledge to me. It's the same trash in a different bag.

how do I know Beck is onto something? the libs are attacking him from all sides. sure sign that he is on the right path. :lol

Does that work for Obama too? ;)

So the lefts equal to glenn beck is the president? Oh **** we are screwed.

What does the president of the united states have in common with a talk show personality?

I just love how the left compare beck, a talk show host, to Obama. Wow, kudos to beck, not many talk show hosts have ever been compared on that level.

I have a theory about the Mormons and Prop 8 - banning gay marriage in a state that had already married 18,000 gay couples was the surest way to the supreme court. If SCOTUS overturns prop 8, the LDS will one step closer a polygamy test case.

Just an FYI, Glenn Beck isn't against gay marriage.

Hm...we need to use right winger logic here.

For example, Obama hung around that socialist Ayers, and that made Obama a socialist.

Beck hangs around antigay fundamentalist Christians, therefore that makes Beck an antigay fundamentalist Christian.

Makes sense to me. My work here is done.

What's for supper?

No, the things Obama has said and done makes him a Socialist. His surrounding friends and comrades simply support his beliefs.

No-oooo! Really?

And I thought he was a shining beacon of reason among all those anti-gay religious folks...

Silly me.

Of course, that is contrary to his pro-constitution, liberty, freedom thingy...

I guess he's a complicated clown...I mean, man...

Nellie, do you have a dictionary? Can you do look up the word Socialist.

I'll wait...

The right criticizes Obama because of his policies, which directly effect our lives... While the left criticizes Beck because he criticizes Obama with the truth about him, which hurts their widdle fee-wings.

You're new around here so I'll explain to you how reading works. Here is what he said:

Now here is what I said:

Now, a person capable of reading both those posts above a Libertarian level would be able to deduce that what I was referring to was the INCREDIBLY OBVIOUS POPULARITY FALLACY. It's a fallacy based on the assumption that the more people who attack or support your argument, the more accurate and factual your argument is. I pointed out Obama because like Beck he seems to have the issue that there are currently people, mostly wacked out right wingers, who attack him simply for having skin cells. Do you get the comparison yet? I doubt you do.

I think you have Beck confused with someone who has integrity:

Social and Religious cons hate gay people and/or gay marriage/rights, this has been fact for quite awhile. Why is this new to some of you.

I don't hate gay people and I couldn't care less whether or not they get married. Maybe if we allowed gay men to marry each other it would cut down on some of the promiscuous behavior their culture is reknowned for.

Well, obviously, anyone who associates with Chuck Norris and Sarah Palin must hate gay people.

Serously, what the heck is your point here? Yeah, he's around a lot of conservatives. Yeah, a lot of conservatives are against gay marriage. And the point of all of this is...?
