I don't disagree with any of that. My only point is that many European countries are facing similar far right populist movements that, if they gain any power, will strip all the same rights and more than we have seen walked back in the US.

No arguing that. Imo, America is still the best place in the world to live (and CA is the best place in America), but the margin between America and second place is way closer than it has ever been for me.

The real danger is the one-party system we have which masquerades as a two party system, both of which are controlled by the military industrial complex and large influential corporations, all of which are fueling the neverending war machine. The Establishment in both parties are owned by the unelected bureaucrats in our intelligence community and the military industrial complex, as is the American media. Trump was a reaction to that. And, those of you who voted for Biden sold our country down the river, and it is you folks who put us in this awful economic position we are today. Please don't let age be your excuse! By enlightened you mean pro LBGTQ, pro abortion, pro open border, pro soft on crime, anti constitution.

I would stay here, raise my children right, and work toward reversing Trumpism (pretty much what I do now). Trumpism needs to be defeated, not ignored and fled from. This is our country and I'll be damned if these Maga terrorists can have it.
