Giuliani says Mueller has accused Manafort of lying about Trump

Washington (CNN)Special counsel Robert Mueller's team has made clear to Paul Manafort's attorneys that they believe the former Trump campaign chair is lying to them about President Donald Trump, according to the President's attorney Rudy Giuliani.

"In the questioning of Manafort, they did tell them at the time that they believed he was lying about certain things related to us that he's not lying about," Giuliani told CNN.

Mueller's team will describe to a federal court on Friday the alleged lies told by Manafort that led to the disruption of the cooperation agreement. The filing will be closely read for any indications of what Mueller has learned in the investigation of Russian interactions with Trump associates.

Giuliani said he is not sure this information will show up in the special counsel's Friday filing.

According to Giuliani, investigators told Manafort they don't believe that the President did not know about the 2016 Trump Tower meeting that Manafort attended with Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner and a Russian attorney who had promised dirt on Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

Giuliani, who received this information from Manafort's attorneys, accused Mueller's team of crossing the line by trying to force Manafort to say Trump knew about the meeting....

Yeah all a nothingburger, m'kay:roll:

Not looking good for King Tangface and his ultra scummy swamp critter crew.:lamo

Can't take anything Ruby says as the truth. They are all a bunch of weasel liars, that seem to get attracted to this WH.

If this is true and Mueller has evidence Trump knew about the meeting at Trump Tower with the Russian nationals, then that means Trump likely submitted the same lie as Manafort's in his answer to the SC, and that will mean Mueller is going to accuse Trump of perjury in his report.

:popcorn2:

Of course Trump knew about the long planned Trump Tower meeting with his favorite Russians, that had three of his most senior staff there...Kushner, Don Jr, and Manafort his campaign chairman present, in Trump Tower.
And Trump is savvy about crime..rarely using any email, and using a personal phone...he's had a lifetime of trying to avoid prosecution.
Only Trump supporters are willing to suspend belief on this.

But to prove it, what evidence will they have?

- Cohen?
- Goldstone?
- Trump Jr's blocked call was Trump?
- notes from someone present when Trump was on one of those calls?
- witnesses to Trump referring to the meeting prior?

Maybe we find out today how they proved he was lying?

There's no doubt that Trump knew about the meeting and there's no doubt he lied about it in his answers to Mueller, but proving that wouldn't normally be easy.

However, if they accuse Manafort of lying about Trump's awareness of the meeting at Trump Tower, then that means they evidence that Trump knew.

Team Trump is the only group that could say with a straight face that prosecutors cross a line in seeking to get a suspect to incriminate himself.

Naturally, they (and their supporters) do not say it about accused drug dealers, robbers, murderers, and the like. Oh no, and not even when Guilani used them himself. It's only when the very same tactics are brought to bear on Team Trump that they're a no-no.

Then there was that “tease” of “interesting details” regarding Hillary Clinton to be released in a few days. (Following the Trump Tower meeting.......)

Rudy is suffering the same fate as Henry Kissinger........that’s when your head slowly sinks into your chest.

People have to be super careful about anything Giuliani says, even when he says something that appears to be harmful to Trump.

oh, ****. could this mean that Trump told the same lie? lol.

Speaking of Hillary Clinton did you catch the news that broke less than an hour ago that a judge has ordered a reopening of parts of the Clinton email case . His ruling was brutal over the handling by Obama's Justice and State Departments. Looks like the judge is ordering Hillary to answer more questions as well as the FBI/DOJ of persons in charge at that time
