Conservative
Personally, I don't think he has a chance, since most of his ideology is to the left of Democrats. He wants gun control, favors legalized abortion, supports gay marriage, and is also a big spender. What kind of Conservative would support him? Right now, he is polling ahead of McCain, but IMHO, not for long.

Article is here.

I like him. But I agree, he doesn't stand much of a chance (against social conservatives).

He was the first NYC mayor in history to cut a tax, he completely turned New York around, and I agree with him on most social issues.

I just talked to a guy today about working for him, if Bberg doesn't run.;)

There's little of his social issues if any that I don't agree with. Sadly I don't think he'd make it past the primaries.:(

Yeah, Rudy is the Man, Go Rudy!!!

I might vote for him if he's the best of two bad choices. But I would not like doing it.

In fact, there is no current candidate out there that I would vote for without it causing me pain.

I would vote for Giuliani before I voted for McCain.....but both are too liberal for me

He's pretty much said he thinks Gun Laws should be left primarily to cities and states and not the federal government, and that it was due to specific circumstances at the time as to why he did what he did in New York. So no real problems with him there.

I agree with him on abortion. In favor of parental notification. Against late term. For pro-choice.

I actually agree with the No gay marriage, but Civil Union is decent. I honestly think the entire stupid marriage code needs to be rewrote, everyone under the government gets a civil union and allow for a note from a religious institute that a couple has been "married" to qualify them for civil union under the law, but blah, different tangent.

As far as the fact he's "Marched in gay pride parades" i don't have a problem with him there either. He was the Mayor of New York, of everyone in New York, and didn't turn down invites to march in any parade in the city. I can actually respect that.

He's for strict constructionist judges.

He's hard on crime and national defense.

He gave not only the first tax cut in ages in New York but gave MULTIPLE of them.

You point out what he did in turning New York around in regards to the prostitution and porn industries and you can get some of the "religious right" that you may have waver due to abortion.

He did a great job with the wellfare system in New York from what I understand.

I think he's a decently viable candidate because his "liberal" tendencies hasn't been center stage for the past few years on the same level as McCain, yet he is a bigger name then Romney

I wish to change my earlier statement.

Unless a better choice presents itself or he messes up big time in the 20+ months remaining until the 2008 election, he will get my vote.

I heard an interview he gave, and I seem to agree with him on a large percentage of issues.

Although he does lean a little more to the left then I would like I agree with him on most issues. I'm not sure how he is on spending but I know he cleaned up NYC and made it a nice place to go. He does have some issues that bother me like the whole cheating thing. To me if a man can't be honest with his wife how can he be honest with anyone BUT I don't know all the details of that issue so it wouldn't prevent me from voting for him.

I hope he makes it.
