Reid opened the door and McConnel followed his lead. If the democrats pack the courts like they are threatening, are you gonna complain that they are doing something more than what the republicans did, or are you gonna cheer about it
If the dems try to pack the senate by giving PR and DC statehood and the republicans decide to split a state like Texas into 3 states to counter it, are you gonna complain about that?

It is a shame that one persons death can have such an influence on society. If we restricted law making to Congress and have the court interpret those laws, a Supreme Court Justice would not be so important.

This nomination should wait, IMO, but it won't.

Democrats will be able to rightly claim that Republicans are hypocrites... but at this point I don't really think that it matters. Discourse is at such a low point that words like "hypocrite" are just going to kind of blend in with the rest of the mud-slinging.

Vice President Joe Biden declared in 2016 that if he were chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee he would push ahead with the nomination of a Supreme Court justice "even a few months before a presidential election."

McConnell had declared an agenda of denying any Obama accomplishment, as Trump has also done since his birther Con.
McConnell could not be certain he was not merely blocking judicial appointments soon to be filled by Clinton. It is obvious racism is at the
heart of both McConnell's and Trump's aggression towards Obama. As I posted earlier, I know non-Trumpers know all of this and proTrumpers
are enveloped in the Sgt. Schultz, "I see nothing.....nothing!"

The Democrats -- Biden included -- are also being hypocritical.

It's worth noting that the executive and senate were politically split in 2016, and both houses are in GOP hands today, so it's not a 1-1 situation.

Not really an issue, it is going to be a Trump landslide and control of the House and Senate by Republicans regardless of what you anti American radicals want to believe. Most people love this country and won't vote for the radical left how has spent the last 4 years participating in the politics of personal destruction and showing radical behavior of destroying liberal cities and blaming it on Republicans. If you want racial equality people of Seattle, Portland, LA, SF, Minneapolis, Chicago, Kenosha, NYC stop voting for the same ideology over and over again as all these cities have been run by Democrats for decades and they hire, fund, and train employees implementing racial polices.

Anyone that votes for Democrats truly hates this country and regardless of who gets in office the control of the Court remains with Conservatives who will do what they always do, put country first unlike radical Democrats who offer the American people nothing but radical ideology. If Democrats win then this country really is in a downward spiral.
