That's awesome!

This country continues to progress and move forward toward more inclusion, fairness and tolerance -- despite the ugly revanchism of conservatives and tea party types. In the end conservatism always loses on every issue.

Good on the happy couple. :)

This woman continues to be a disgrace to this country.

One can only hope. Fear is a powerful weapon and wielded by conservative leaders without conscience.

Only to those who want to stay trapped in the quagmire of our disgraceful history of bigotry and exclusion.

From an opinion devoid of standards, morality, tradition and Godliness.

Not impressed.

Good for her. She wanted to make a point. She made it. Anything that presses home the realization that only when SSM is universally recognized in this country will the last vestige of institutionalized discrimination be destroyed is a good thing in my opinion. :)

How so? People that oppose it will be discriminated against. You support discrimination against them, why?

How many of you have seen the last episode of "Boston Legal?"

"Not getting your way every time you stomp your feet" isn't "being discriminated against". If those people oppose gay marriage, they're free to not get gay married. No issue.

She is the first. What are your thoughts on this?

Ginsburg should do America a favor and move the South Africa where she would be happier with their constitution.

Just looking at her, she would be one of the few who wouldn't have to be worried being raped on the streets of Johannesburg.

IMDB: Boston Legal: Season 5, Episode 13; Last Call (8 Dec. 2008)

They end up being married by Justice Antonin Scalia, played by Jack Shearer.
What in Sam Hill does made for TV have to do with reality? Nothing.
Ginsberg agreed to officiate the marriage of her "gay" friend and his partner. That shouldn't be a surprise to anyone but it should be a wakeup call to many that the political appointed judiciary has an agenda and are willing to overturn the votes of millions of Americans to see that agenda fulfilled.

It shouldn't be very newsworthy either.

I'm only pointing out that facts often follow fiction. For all we know, she wanted to be the first.

I loved Boston Legal. Wish it went more than 5 years. Before the fictional marriage in the show, it was a real hoot to watch the gay activist try to stop their marriage.

And what exactly is that agenda? Equality?

She should recuse herself from all future cases regarding SSM that may go to the SCOTUS.

And yet He "created the heavens and the earth".

Yea. That's real small.

According to ancient jewish tradition He/She may have done all that creating, just seems in the centuries since small minds have really dialed back His/Her love for ALL mankind.

Some traditions are worth keeping and some are not. It is the thinking man/woman who can tell the difference between the two...
