SCOTUS doesn't "follow the law". SCOTUS interprets laws and applies them against the Constitution.

The pious, like working for a "religious institution" with clear rules on behavior and being in charge of enforcing that behavior. Meanwhile breaking most of those rules in his personal life. The murder is only in your mind. There was a reason the founders of this country left out organized religion when governing.

If you cared so much about unborn babies you would care about born babies and helping poor mothers feed their children. But you don't care about babies. It's just another way for you to torment the poor. Force them to have the babies and then punish them for having them.

Have you prepared yourself to explain to Jesus why you were so against free healthcare for the poor?

Why do you want to coerce people through the power of government rather than pursuade them? All you're doing is creating another black market to fill the demand. I guess you need more prisons and more law enforcers to coerce people.

liberals are always distorting reality and distorting what conservatives believe in and what they do. They have to d istort all the time.. otherwise, they would never win elections. If people knew the truth of the leftists, they would NOT vote for them. But fake news drones on all day every day telling us lie after lie after miserable LIE, and some dimwits believe it all....

I am not like a lot of conservatives who begrudge single mothers said check. I myself feel sorry for single mothers.. toughest job you can imagine. They earn EVERY penny and then some. And yet we cannot have millions and millions of these checks going out because for one thing, we have a HUGE debt. Life is more important than such fiscal concerns but...

In any case, most important of all, with all these fatherless children... America suffers from the moral decay of having so many illegitimate children who grow up this w ay, without fathers, without a nuclear family. And of course, there is the vulture called Government that takes children away from poor mothers if something isn't perfect in the wya she raises them...

In any case, as we can all see from the high crime rate

the high abortion rate
the high fornication rate

etc....

MORALS

are what America needs most of all.

But most conservatives want to take way said check while moralizing about abortion. Where is the effort by conservatives to help poor women be able to afford to keep these children?

Where is the effort by conservatives to help the poor get medical care? Surely Jesus would want us to heal the sick.

Conservatives are frauds. Trump would demand his porn star to get an abortion. He would fly her to Mexico while promoting a pro-life policy.

This how government moralizing always works. It becomes hypocrisy and oppression. And it won't stop abortions. Demand will be created for black market options. You can't really force a woman who does not want to have a baby to have one. The best you can do is convince her to keep the baby.

I'm a Christian. I believe in convincing people and reaching out to people not using government to coerce them in a pointless effort.

The entire point of the judicial branch is to interpret the law to determine whether or not a violation has occurred, either of the law, or by it.

Trump should nominate and the Senate should confirm a great conservative pro-life justice as soon as possible. I haven't done the political caculus of whether confirmation should be before or after election day. There are arguments both ways. But obviously Trump's pick, possibly Amy Coney Barrett, should be quickly approved. The hearings on Barrett should be interesting. I think we'll see how Democrats REALLY feel about women as they skewer her on everything from having so many children to her Catholic faith. We'll see how Democrats react when confronted with a TRULY devout Catholic, as opposed to the imposters in their party.

What is often not said in these cases, is the added phrase, "to liberals". She was a successful woman but 1/2 of the country disagreed with most of her positions.

The 30 million babies haven't had much equality or equal opportunity. And yes, the GOP tended to let the Democrats have their nominee. Democrats have not been so accommodating, starting in recent years with Bork who would have been a great justice.
