Ginni Thomas confirms she attended Jan. 6 'Stop the Steal' rally but says she left before Capitol riot

Despite Thomas’s long history of conservative activism, her husband has never recused himself from a case due to her involvement, according to the Washington Post. Under the rules of the Supreme Court, there is no mechanism to force a recusal, meaning the decision to recuse is left up to each individual justice. Clarence Thomas, who was appointed in 1991 by President George H.W. Bush, is considered one of if not the most conservative justices on the panel.

In January, the Supreme Court ruled that Trump had to turn over materials he was attempting to shield from the House select committee investigating events surrounding the Jan. 6 riot. Of the nine justices, Thomas was the only one who said he would have granted Trump’s request to shield those documents from the committee.

SCOTUS Thomas should Recuse himself from anything regarding Jan. 6th!!!!!

Why?

She wasn't involved in anything except a rally.

you figure it out...

  • If the situation was reversed, and a Liberal Justice's wife had gone to something designed to try and overturn an election, EVERY Conservatives would be having convulsions of savage violent motivations to get the Liberal Justice to Recuse himself.

The rally wasn't designed to "overturn an election".

I wouldn't have a problem with any relative of a Supreme Court Justice attending a peaceful rally.

Now...if she had entered the Capitol, that would be a different matter. But she didn't come anywhere near the Capitol.

His wife is involved in the case. It doesn't matter how important you personally think that involvement is.
shrug...

Doesn't matter how important YOU think that involvement is, either.

You are dismissed.

Please explain what the rally was designed to do.

Yes, the hell it was!!! if it was'nt there never would have been a rally.... !!!! Damn, what do you think the words "Stop The Steal" was used for.
Geez.... You can't dismiss that shit Trump and his Mob spewed on the podium, but I'm sure you will try, because you are just that devoted to Trumpism.

Listen to a speech from the President.

The left wants to punish anyone who doesn't follow their fascist cult.

If she didn't go into the capitol building, I don't care if she was at the rally.

And you know this how?

They weren't there to stop the steal? If not, why were so many stop the steal signs present?

Fight and fight and walk straight to the Capitol because Pence failed them.
Peacefully.

And she didn't even do that.

Sorry, but you got nothing but dumbass spin.
