Gia Allemand Dead of Apparent Suicide: Bachelor Alum Hanged Herself.....

As Bachelor Nation continues to mourn season 14 star Gia Allemand, new details are beginning to emerge about the circumstances of her passing. Multiple sources confirm to Us Weekly that Allemand hanged herself on Monday, Aug. 12, at her home in New Orleans, where she was found by boyfriend Ryan Anderson, a player for the NBA Pelicans. (TMZ was first to report the cause of death.)

As previously reported, Allemand, 29, was hospitalized earlier this week in critical condition. Information about the "serious emergency medical event" was at first unavailable, but on Wednesday, Aug. 14, her family released an official statement saying she had died that afternoon.

"Tuesday, Ms. Allemand remained in the hospital unconscious in critical condition and on life support," the statement read. "Due to a critical loss of brain and organ function, life support was withdrawn today. Ms. Allemand passed away peacefully with her mother, boyfriend, and other lifelong friends by her side. As a practicing Christian, Gia did receive the sacrament of last rites.".....snip~

Wow :shock: She hung herself. I never watched the show, still she was so young. R. I. P. Gia.

Regrets for her family and friends, but reality TV does not exactly select people who do not have issues.

I had never heard of her until this week and wondered what the "undisclosed medical condition" was that kept being reported. I feel so terribly sorry for her boyfriend, who found her hanging, and for her mother. I don't know what drove this poor soul to commit suicide--and perhaps this wasn't her intention, only "attention"--but suicide is cruel.

suicide is awful, and it kills more than just the person. however, i'm not judging. you have to walk a mile in those shoes before you actually understand what it's like to be suicidal or self destructive.

Yep. The Bachelor is a pretty guilty pleasure TV show for the ladies. The bands of dark energy in the universe that creates reality TV pass through my nowheresville area as we encounter it and them somewhat frequently. They are special people.
