The Democratic wave is coming, and nothing is going to stop it. Is it because they Democratic party has become the ideal for Americans? Forget it. Democrats have always been big government, big welfare, big spending, and big brother. The problem is that it is the Republican party that has changed. Its started with the GOP civil war which fractured the party, and then the Neocon faction taking over and using the party as its parasitic host. The Neocons have shown themselves to be the quintissential RINOs, the donkeys in elephant suits, and Liberalism on steroids.

The Mark Foley scandal has hurt the GOP, but only in a handful of races. The real damage is the awakening of American Conservatives, and I mean the real ones, to what the Republican Party now Represents. Nowhere can this be documented better than in Kansas. Today, one of the most Conservative papers in one of the most Conservative states is, for the first time ever, endorsing a whole slew of Democratic candidates in that state.

Yes, true Conservatives have had enough. While a few of them are probably going to vote for Democrats, you are going to see many stay home and vote for nobody. As a result, the coming Democratic wave may be a tsunami. And who is to blame for that? The party of responsibility which refuses to accept that they have failed the American people.

Will the Democrat victories this fall be a good thing? In my opinion, yes, because the resulting shakeup of the Republican party will kick the Bushneviks to the curb. The Democrats may obtain power this year, but they wont have it for very long. With the Bushneviks and their parasites consigned to the trash can of history, the GOP can rebuild itself, once again, to the Conservative values it once had. And we all know that mainstream America is Conservative. The Dems can gloat now, but they will not be in power very long.

Let me offer a toast to the rebirth of the Republican Party. I will be coming home soon.

You might be right about the first part, it's hard to imagine the Republicans staying in power at this point. Although if Hilary and Kerry are all the dems can come up with then I think there is a chance of the Republicans keeping the presidency. They will probably lose Congress though.

As for the second part about the Republicans rebuilding themselves into some sort of truly principled party, I think that's just wishful thinking. Both major parties are far too decadent to ever reinvent themselves. The only chance for true change is if a third party introduces some fresh blood. That will necessarily require the death of one of the major parties, and the temporary assumption of power by the opposing major party. It would also require that the general sheeple populace grow enough of a spine to risk going outside the status quo.

I predict the two major parties will retain control for the forseeable future, by focusing on war war war terrorism terrorism terrorism, so everyone is too scared to risk changing anything. I doubt either party will stray very far from the center in practice. They may give lip service to various ideals to get elected, as they always do. But once they get in it will be business as usual.

It's sad really. All this is now doing is turning to the flip side of the same coin - it's still a dirty coin.
Wake up America.
