Yup, its not just whales and birds and bats, but insects too- like butterflies and bees, you know the ones who make honey and pollinate the plants and serve as prey for larger animals, all part of a chain that ecosystems need in order to thrive.

And this is just in Germany. There have been no studies in other countries as more wind farms pop up.

Why do neo-luddite climate cultists hate plants, animals, and humans so much? You'll have to ask them since their retarded religion makes no sense.

Unfortunately, it seems in our quest for green energy, we aren’t being very wise in the locations where we are looking to build windfarms.

And the environmental impacts of the windfarms - the impact of the mills on their local environment - isn’t adequately being assessed, evaluated and taken into consideration.

How many species has man been responsible for eradicating? Sport, land grabbing, industry, tourism…….et al.

We will get around to self-eradication before it is over, IMO.

OP’s links are dated, why?

And that’s part of the problem.

As we are trying to move away from fossil fuel reliance that has been responsible for so much global harm - wouldn’t it be intelligent to be investigating the new technologies that we hope to replace fossil fuels with?

If the goal is sustainability and environmentalism?

Because it seems as though we are not

We are mostly narrow sighted and money driven, IMO.

But it can be. It is not as if the idea of wind farms is bad or cannot be done. It is as you say just a matter of careful planning.

Messing with the proposed food supply!

The harsh truth of the matter is any means of power production is going to have some degree of impacts to whatever facets of our environment. Does not matter if we burn fossil fuels, rip the earth apart for certain metals used in battery and solar panel production, or rely on the movement of wind and water we will impact something to some extent. Similar but not quite the same story on killing everything in sight for cattle farming, avocado and almond farming for vegan lunatics, or other base food commodities.

The question is, and always is, how do they all compare and what are we willing to overlook to obtain some set of goals over doing things some other way.

Climate alarmists are no more willing to be honest about that discussion than those who want more oil, coal, what not.

But eventually rational people are going to be needed for better solutions as political climate has ultra-destroyed the current conversation on these things.

It's a good thing that fossil fuels haven't ever killed anything and never will.
Where has anyone made that claim? I surely haven’t.

But as we move forward with green energy, we have to take the time to consider what environmental impacts they have.

Otherwise we potentially resolve one crisis by starting another.

It's a matter of impact. I truly doubt that windmills are going to hurt the planet in a way that is even comparable to the impact of the long term harvesting and burning of fossil fuels.

He's crusading for insect rights now, is he?

Ah. No. Just another debate board move that'd get laughed off a fourth grade playground, as always deployed in the vein of lol Imma push coal and mock alternative energy to own (troll) the libs.

Le Sigh.

Insects and many other species are facing mass extinctions right now. But it's not because of windmills. It's because of the kind of thing that @PoS stands to defend: the all out assault by humans on the environment in which they live, of which relentless fossil fuel extraction and use is a major part.

Why is it an either/or analysis?

Because transitioning away from fossil fuels, especially towards renewable energy sources, is a net benefit for the environment. Pretending otherwise is at best dishonest.

LOL textbook strawman fallacy. Fantastic.

LOL I just posted a scientific study that insects are being killed because of windmills, but you claim otherwise. Well hurry up and prove your side then. Oh wait, you dont have any proof, just more of your moronic religious beliefs that proves you hate science. Run along now.

Ouch. Not only are they an important part of the food cain, but bees are necessary for pollination.

How many bugs die around coal plants?

There is nothing "green" about wind power in my view. I'm all for solar, but trust me. Decades from now, there will be serious regrets pertaining to wind.

Consider this too:

Do YOU care about any of those things? Or are you just concern-trolling to own the libs?

I disagree with that. New coal technology and new gas technology is not very harmful, except to those who think increased CO2 is bad. As pointed out, no matter what we do, has an impact. Mass killing of insects and birds is rather troubling. Especially the endangered raptors.

We haven't yet felt the financial impact of solar and wind, as they are so highly subsidized, it should be criminal. Those subsidies cannot last indefinitely, and I predict it will not be long before electricity prices more than double.

I'm aware of climate change denialist CT. You should get a doctorate in climate science. Then you can get told that CT is CT by a different group of people.

I just follow the science. No CT allowed.
