That's why some people (often called "liberals") become very upset with people (often called "conservatives") who dare speak the brutal truth.


President Trump would be less "disliked" today if he tempered his statements.

E.g., he used the term "illegal alien" during the State of the Union.

That is correct, but it is very hurtful to many liberals, who say that no human is "illegal" and the word "alien" seems to imply they come from outer space.

They prefer "undocumented immigrant" or even better simply "migrant." If the President had used those terms instead, he could have lowered the temperature a bit.

Maybe all of us (including the President) should try harder to speak the truth in more gentle ways.
