George Galloway denounces allegations and attacks senate

They provided documents that had his name, but nothing that actually said he got anything. Just links of his name only, no funds, nothing.

Ah Georgie Georgie, he is a bit of a b*****d - but did the Brits proud. Everyone is calling him a hero back over the bond, maybe its coz he told some home truths to the American Senate about this war - this war that has turned from bringing the culprits of 9/11 to justice to a war of control in the Middle-East.

All the newspapers here (even Rupert Murdoch's owned newspaper - The Sun) said his performance was outstanding. I heard the liberal CNN quite liked the performance. And as always the very neutral Fox, described Galloway in very neutral way as an "arch-leftie British MP"

I think most Brits found it funny because they actually had nothing on him.

It also showed the difference between British and American Politics. The President has to debate 3 times during his election, the Prime Minister has to debate every Wednesday. British MP's are very vocal and not afraid to taunt or goad an opponent as Mr. Galloway showed.

In the US all the ugle politics is done behing closed doors, in Britain it's all out in public.

While I wish that we were more like the UK in that regard, I do appreciate our deference for those who are in power. I have seen several conferences with Blair and people outright boo him with no regard. I appreciate the niceness that we treat our politicians with, but it should be done more in the public.

The ones that only the Easter Bunny saw?

The Easter bunny and Inspector Charles Duelfer.

Mr. Duelfer did not close the books. "ISG was unable to complete its investigation and is unable to rule out the possibility that WMD was evacuated to Syria before the war," Mr. Duelfer said in a report posted on the CIA's Web site Monday night.
He cited some evidence of a transfer. "Whether Syria received military items from Iraq for safekeeping or other reasons has yet to be determined," he said. "There was evidence of a discussion of possible WMD collaboration initiated by a Syrian security officer, and ISG received information about movement of material out of Iraq, including the possibility that WMD was involved. In the judgment of the working group, these reports were sufficiently credible to merit further investigation." --April 27, 2005

The Iraq-Syria relationship between two Ba'athist socialist regimes has further encouraged speculation of weapons transfers.
Several senior U.S. officials have said since the invasion that they thought WMD went to Syria.
Retired Marine Lt. Gen. Michael DeLong, the deputy commander of U.S. Central Command during the war, said in his book, "Inside CentCom," that intelligence reports pointed to WMD movement into Syria.
In October, John A. Shaw, then the deputy undersecretary of defense for international technology security, told The Times that Russian special forces and intelligence troops worked with Saddam's intelligence service to move weapons and material to Syria, Lebanon and possibly Iran.
"The organized effort was done in advance of the conflict," he said.

Unfortunately one needs proof, speculation isn't enough.

Ok. Meet you in Syria then.
