In Georgia...

An Acworth man was shot and killed by Pickens County deputies Saturday after he reportedly violated a restraining order, tried to harm his wife and shot at law enforcement officers, officials said.
Derek Cooper, 52, was fatally shot during an incident at a home in Talking Rock, the GBI said in a news release.
Pickens deputies were sent to the home about 11 a.m. after a 911 caller reported that Cooper was trespassing on the property. The 911 caller said Cooper had tried to kill his wife during a domestic incident earlier in the week and had an active restraining order against him.

In Oklahoma...

An armed employee shot a suspect Wednesday afternoon during an attempted robbery at a Norman pharmacy, police said.
Shortly after 4:20 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting at Sooner Pharmacy in the 1800 block of West Lindsey Street. When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound inside the business.
The man was taken to an area hospital. His condition has not been released.
Police said an initial investigation shows that the man entered the pharmacy with a firearm and was in the process of robbing it when he was shot by an armed employee. Only one shot was fired, and no one else was hurt.


In Arizona...

MESA, AZ — Police say a home invasion suspect was shot by a victim Friday morning in Mesa.
Officers were called to a home near Alma School Road and University Drive just before 4:00 a.m. for reports of a home invasion.
When they arrived a male suspect was found with a gunshot wound.
Authorities with the Mesa Police Department say a woman was at home alone when the man made his way inside. She was able to fire a weapon at the intruder, striking him.

WAUKEGAN, Ill., (WLS) -- Waukegan police said an attempted home invasion left two men dead in the front yard of a home Tuesday morning.

In Montana...

BILLINGS - Police said Tuesday a man who was fatally shot at a Billings Heights residence was killed while assaulting a woman.

In South Carolina...

SENECA, SC (FOX Carolina) - The Seneca Police chief announced Tuesday that no charges will be filed in a Sep. 12 shooting that claimed the life of a man at an apartment complex.
