I, for the 5th year, am giving a down-time go at mapping for UT2K4 - I always get a little ways into it and then lose interest due to frustration. . . I'm determined to last longer this time :)

Anyone else?

(for those who don't know - a map is a level of game play within any type of game. Mapping is when you create a level or arena for playing in a game of some type. Modding is when you modify (add to, take away, alter) an existing map, character, vehicles, weapons, etc.

I made a few custom maps for Starcraft back in the day. I haven't done any for Starcraft 2 yet.

I also occasionally dabble with creating missions in the Architect in City of Heroes.

I used to try with CSS, but it got too annoying. SO I just play maps now ;)

I actually bought UT2K2 to play with the Unreal editor. It's a pain to get going, but amazing what you can do.

I used to do a bit of modding for Baldur's Gate, but haven't since. Modding has gotten easier now, it seems. For BG, I had to write **** in Hex. Holy ****.
