This is why talking to many Republicans is so frustrating. Facts mean nothing. Evidence means nothing. There is no, "wait. Does that make sense? What evidence is there to back up this claim?" If it's being "reported" on Fox and parroted by GOP politicians, then it must be true!

They believe because they want to believe. They are like pavlov's dog, they hear a certain something and they start salivating. I'm sure we'll be hearing it repeated on here more and more as the scent spreads.

How many people, make that americans, hire these 'illegals' to work for them? Stop them, go to iowa and see how many ranchers use them while they claim they are for trump's wall to keep them out.

That is exactly what the problem is. Deplorables seek out this kind of news. It is what they want to believe. Right wing commentators have gotten rich feeding them exactly what they want to hear. Republican politicians fall right in there for the votes.

Not only that but most conservatives would like to see americans work for the wages the undocumented accept. A minimum wage of fifteen an hour in 2022 is too much for them but a thousand a month to rent an apartment isn't. They have been so brainwashed they cheer on the millionaires and bad mouth the average working person and say get a better education while they badmouth education.

Allowing illegals to vote in local elections is already a thing in several places. Why wouldn't they worry about its expansion geographically and to national elections?

That would require some major rule changes. There's no state that wants to allow non citizens to vote. Local jurisdictions like school or utility districts may allow tax payers to vote in local referendums.

So not legally plausible and local governments can decide on their own charter and needs.
