That's why they're making both harder for democrats to.vote and OK for republican legislature to overturn the results if they somehow manage to vote anyway. What would be the best way for the GOP to win elections in the distant future? Their base is shrinking. The GOP, as currently constructed will struggle to win elections in the future.
i keep hearing this....
yet i am not worried....
common sense most often prevails....and it takes time for common sense to get through some peoples thick skulls
sometimes it NEVER gets through
the GOP will continue (minus Trump) and we will win local/state, and national races
why? because of MONEY....because we control jobs, and money

No you don’t. 85% of the entire GDP of the country comes from democrat-run states or democrat-run cities.

The next Republican up to bat will open up a can of whoopass on Biden. Remember how Carter got his clock cleaned?

That's why they're pulling out all the stops before 2022 to make sure as few Democrats as possible can vote. It's the only way they can sustain their fascist minority. What would be the best way for the GOP to win elections in the distant future? Their base is shrinking. They could make progress by expanding legal immigration, supporting student debt relief and coming up with actual plans to health care more accessible and less expensive. It also would help if they grew a spine and called out Trump for what he is, rather than hiding in perpetual submission to his whims... after all, why would I trust the GOP to stand up for me when they can't even stand up for themselves? Finally, I'd love to see GOP policy platform more broad than "own the libs, ban abortion, ban immigrants and more cut taxes for the rich" - that might interest me if they ever got around to something more than that. What would be the best way for the GOP to win elections in the distant future? Oh yeah, I’m sure- heck, they’ll open a can of whoopass on the entire country. Say goodbye to American democracy. Any vote result they don’t like will be “fake” and either not be certified or there will be violent insurrection to overturn it.
I wish you guys would get off that "Democracy" whine. This is a constitutional Republic.
Whatever you want to call it, Trump and his GOP flying monkeys are out to subvert it.
Of is THAT what you really have in mind when you say "this is a constitutional Republic"?
Call Putin again. What would be the best way for the GOP to win elections in the distant future? Their base is shrinking. The GOP, as currently constructed will struggle to win elections in the future.
Look it up.
It certainly isn't because of republican policies.i keep hearing this....

The REAL question is "what do you think a "democracy" is?OK, Sure.
It says a republic is just a type of democracy: a representative democracy, as opposed to a direct democracy where everyone votes on every single bill and issue.
The only real direct democracy was ancient Athens, where people gathered in the town Square and just voted for stuff. You cannot really have modern countries doing that anymore, with every issue with all the people in the country. It would be way too unwieldy. So they elect people to do it for them:
“ A republic is defined as “a state in which the supreme power rests in the body of citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by representatives chosen directly or indirectly by them.” Sound familiar? It should.
You see, many of today’s democracies are also republics, and are even referred to as democratic republics. So, the US and France are considered both democracies and republics—both terms point to the fact that the power of governance rests in the people, and the exercise of that power is done through some sort of electoral representation.”
