Isn't ****ing ironically funny how in a ****ing Freedom of Speech forum my ****ing **** is ****ing censored. Where the **** is the mutha ****ing freedom there?

Hehe, yeah, we all know what it says anyway. Although 'freedom of speech' doesn't mean "hey, let's all be ****ing rude".

I agree that freedom of speech is limited, but in all honesty, why should we be able to use the f-word? There are so many wonderful words to use to describe things we don't like, so many better ways to emphasize our points of view. There's a million words in the English language; why are we so hung up on one or two?

So instead of:

we talked more like this:

Isn't it outrageously funny, and sublimely ironic, that in a so-called "freedom of Speech" forum, my witty and urbane rhetoric is hypocritically censored? Where in Heaven or on Earth is this hypothetical freedom actually permitted?
Fie to the syphilitic pus-ridden scum who first inflicted this asinine censorship upon us! Unchain my tongue, you self-righteous monkey-suckers!

But maybe that's just me; I'm a different breed of cat.

big deal. It's not like we don't know what your saying

Presumably those who set this Blog site up in the first place do not like profane language being used.

There are so many different words that while not being profane, can be used to describe that, which by adding a profanity, is somehow meant to emphasize the writers point of view.

Though just how the word which decribes 2 or more folk joining in the sexual act can be used to emphasize any point other than 2 or more people joined together in an act of sex, is I fear, something I fail to understand.
If you absolutely have this inborn need to use profane language instead of the beautiful words in your own language, then may I suggest that you do one of 2 things:
1) set up your own Blog.
2) And you knew this was going to be suggested, go have sex with yourself.

Don't you know? We're all children and we cannot be subjected to anything rude or distasteful. What if, God forbid, someone's unattended child were to visit this site and see what you've written?

Isn't that the point? If you know what **** means, why shouldn't we be able to type the letters?

All that wasted energy when you could just say, "*uc* this!!!" Some people just love to hear themselves speak. Also, I'm quite offended by having to read "monkey-sucker". Now some poor tot is going to ask his mother why some people suck monkeys! His mother is going to find out where he saw that term and she's going to start a support/lobbying group and have this site banned! Thanks for f***ing it up for the rest of us CS!

One word Coffee………IT’S CALLED………"CLASS"

In my opinion the “C” word is far worse than the “F” word. Would you think it alright to call female posters that during a debate?

What happen to respect and class, and taste? I can see if your at some dirt-bag bar with people who are so drunk they can’t hold their tongues……I just don't think people want to hear language like that.

Besides can’t those who have small vocabularies go to the basement and swear?
Oh I know I’ll get it now………

Freedom of speech involves the government not writing laws that prohobit free speech. Your spouse, your boss, your neighbors, and others are free to restrict your speech in a variety of ways. This forum is open to the public and the people who manage the forum feel a certain level of civil discourse is therefore advisable.

Big deal.

I agree, especially with the f-word, just like someone said, its not like we don't know what you mean, so why not just write the whole **** out.
Okey if were talking about being racist or something, then you shouldn't´t be allowed to say what you want, but to censure swear words on telly and on the radio is just bad.

What will you do with the energy you saved by merely saying "f*** this?" Will you paint a masterpiece? Win a Nobel prize? Save someone's life? Or spend another fifteen seconds reading someone else's words on another thread? I do love to hear myself speak, and so do you, which is why you're on this forum and speaking to the rest of us. You'd love hearing yourself even more, as I do, if you used the eloquence of the English language to the fullest extent -- not that you don't do that in other places, of course.

And you're offended by monkey-sucker, huh? Well, **** you.

Two words.... George Carlin. The "Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television" (****, piss, ****, ****, **********, mother****er, ****) routine from his 1972 "Class Clown" album. (which I bought re-released on CD today) really made people think about language. I don't think it would be nearly as thought-provoking if he used a different title and used no profanity.

He does believe that, and I quote from his On Location 1977 show at USC, "... obviously you don't need a bunch of street terms to make your ideas clear, but they help at enhancing them..." hence why he did use them... considerably better inserted in his works in his older works than nowadays, but not every day in the form like that of a drunkened fool, which I am getting is the way you feel about people who use words like this. Please correct me since I want to have accurate impressions and not mis-interpret people intentionally.

Why presume howerver at the same time that people who use "bad words" have a small vocabulary? I have a moderate vocabulary and that happens to INCLUDE filty words, though used less frequently and within context in those rare circumstances.

Sometimes thought involves shock, like George Carlin did in 1972. Yes these words are such that they should only be used in the circumstances that need them (extremities, and of course ENHANCING ideas in stand up comedy when absolutely needed), but they are words that have a place in our world sice BEFORE they became dirty. F**k for example was a word that used to mean to hit, now it is either used as an explictive or referring to a sexual activity.

EDIT: I think my point was jumbled in a lot of ranting. sorry.

yeah also if spread out the letters like you did, or you're creative with your spelling (Sh!t, F&ck, @sshole, etc) it isn't censored so that kinda defeats the purpose, no?

Also some people put formatting tags between the words so they are unfiltered, the system thining that it is two separate words.
