I don't know if this is a free speech site or not, so many websites give that indication that they are a free speech site, but they are not. What I have witnessed is that you can say many things, even lie, and the website will post your comment, it is when you tell the truth when you get banned.
So, if we are going to talk about free speech, then let us define it, and here is my definition: Free speech is when you hear someone speak, and you hate what they are saying to the bottom of your heart, but you let them say it anyway. That to me is freedom of speech. And I do not believe that the vast majority of Americans believe in free speech. Everybody wants free speech, but they don't the other guy to have free speech. That is not free speech. I will give you a good example: I was watching TV one day and I saw a group of people demonstrating outside of a prison, they where carrying placards. This group was demonstrating against putting a horrible murderer to death. I think if one were to have walked up them and ask them if they believed in free speech I think they would have said "yes, what do you think we are doing here." But, one lone guy walked up on the opposite sidewalk with a placard that read "Give,n The Gas!" The other group, with like one accord, rushed across the street, grabbed the "Give'n The Gas" placard out of his hand and smashed it to smithereens, then they knocked the guy down and begin beating him with their fist. Now that is freedom of speech for ye! This I think is the attitude of Americans, they really do not believe in free speech. The United States Constitution, as I understand it, does not guarantee free speech, it says the government will not prohibit free speech, but everybody else can! If you have your own definition as to what you think is free speech, by all means give your reply.
